This demonstrably has nothing to do with PHSO recommendation. It’s a demand that every single woman of a particular cohort, whatever her circumstances, be given a lump sum by taxpayers, despite having suffered no financial loss. It’s an outrageous, baseless assertion of avarice.

The legal advice to the BBC I am told is that President Trump was not meaningfully damaged by Panorama’s manipulation of his 6 January speech, and that therefore there is no legal necessity to pay him compensation. The BBC board is therefore likely to resist and fight his

The absolute plum who put Davie in post also should shoulder some responsibility then, surely? Oh. Wait.

Hassan Ahmed?! 🤣🤣🤣 Hooh boy. The man has a lot of "history" and nobody in public office in Nottingham should be anywhere near. Him being involved with @NottmPA is not exactly surprising.

This isn't a new problem. It plagued the Tories, but the media just didn't care to report it. Heads should roll for these instances at the prison services. This level of sheer incompetence is wholly unacceptable and those responsible should be sacked.

BBC News bulletins leading on the story of an Algerian man being mistakenly released by the prison service. Funnily enough I don't remember this ever leading the bulletins when an average of ten prisoners were mistakenly released a month in the final year of the last Government

.@Conservatives announce manhunt for mistakenly released prisoner, likely scuppering any remaining chances that @metpoliceuk have of returning him to custody after he'd been on the run for six days since Wed 29 Oct. @HMP_Wandsworth waited nearly a week to inform police and govt.

Wait. So an asylum seeker gets released from Wandsworth by mistake and the police don't get told for six days and the Tories get a tip off about it. This is deliberate. Clearly.

EXCL: Five women have asked for an apology from Nigel Farage after he suggested they weren't victims of grooming gangs. They said that, while they had been abused by Asian men, they were “aware the inquiry is not just about us” and the comments were "degrading and humiliating".
