@pmc8387 @ColinDMello Everyone Ive spoken to EA's, IT, Library Tech, clerical and custodial are all voting yes. Most can't afford to be on strike. We agree its not great but the best we will see, & further risk of strikes not worth the losses that will never be regained! Job security for 4 more years!

@ColinDMello Union lost the public! They should have put the needed supports out front instead of the wage issue. Once wages were found to be inaccurate and based mainly on part time, the public started retracting support. The union failed members, because of their own greed!

@CP24 They legislated 1% for every other civil servant. Ontario has only increased public servants salary 8% in the past 12 years. 4 years at 0%, 8 years at 1% each.

@susanrh11 Lecce does not have money…it’s not his money it ours (tax payers) .EA should get more and the deal currently on the table gives them this . Cupe leadership is dragging them through the mud . The workers want the deal an Walton is an ass (I don’t like Ford but Walton is worse)

The average collective bargaining wage increase this year according to StatsCan is 1.8%. The Trudeau government is offering federal workers - mostly women - 2% a year over 4 years. Ford is offering 2.5% a year to CUPE. Park the outrage, read & RT facts https://t.co/ZTzDFvYvO6

Don’t know many who disagree with a raise for CUPE education workers but…a few things. Those earning the least, the ones they cite, work part-time. The 11.7% annual increase they want is too much. If CUPE gets 11.7%, teachers will demand the same. https://t.co/5q6Um0Bbiz

I think it bears constantly repeating: Vaccine mandates and passports are not a restriction on the freedom of the 90% of the population that is vaccinated. The 10% that is unvaccinated are free to remain so, albeit with consequences.
