In alpinism terms, unrealistic expectations means being so far out there that one just couldn’t exist in this world. Underneath the oddities, and boldness, there is someone like the rest, with wishes, loves, and gratitude. But great suffering too.

The Mazenos Ridge, Nanga Parbat, Diamir. https://t.co/Iu4ZjJGJy1 Great account from Rick Allen (rest in peace). The ridge is roughly 13km from 6300ish to the top of Nanga. Mariano Galván and Alberto Zerain lost their lives at the ridge because of a fracture of the snow ridge.
