Allen National School is in Co. Kildare situated at the foot of Allen Hill by the village of Kilmeague. We are a catholic co-educational primary school.

An early Toy Show scene in Allen today with BIG surprise for our Student Council when the Chairperson of our Parents’ Association presented the members with a wide range of toys, games and sports equipment. Huge thanks to Sinead and the hard working PA Committee.

Mr McNally’s pupils actively engaged in coding, exploring shape and space and developing their digital literacy with the Bee Bots during Math’s Week 2025.

Pupils from Mr Holmes class were exploring the use of maths in civil engineering and architecture. They were actively measuring our play spaces using trundle wheels as one of their Math’s Week activities.

Great fun was had in Ms Garry’s class where pupils used their digital skills to track and measure the flight paths of paper aeroplanes to find the pilot who had flown the greatest distance! One of many activities highlighting the practical application of maths in everyday life.

Ms Ní Chaoimh’s and Mr Dickinson’s 6th class pupils in action examining and classifying rocks and invertebrates found around the school, with one or two rare species found!! Their work was supported by Una Halpin, Geologist. Great fun was had by all!!
