We just got back home from 2 days in San Francisco exploring different neighborhoods & riding public transit on buses, cable cars, & street cars. Reports of the city being a lawless cesspool are flat out wrong. It is still one of the most charming & beautiful cities in the world.

You can’t live in a ski town without owning an SUV, you’ll need to buy an expensive roof rack to transport your skis, and you have to pay $40 a day for parking near the slope and it will still be a long walk to get there.

New: Parking minimums would be banned in many Colorado cities under a new Democratic proposal.
The measure says most Front Range cities + Grand Junction can't set minimum requirements for the number of parking spots in a development.

My 5 yr old son & I brought up the tail end of the Alexis Bounds Memorial Bikeway inaugural ride last weekend. This is the 1st time I’ve felt comfortable taking him on a street. Good infrastructure is empowering.

A person is dead after a crash in a downtown alley. The Post leads with “no traffic delays were reported”.
This shows just how car centric much of reporting is. Someone was killed & focus is on convenience of drivers instead of the tragedy that happened. We must do better.

Yet another car crash in our school zone. On a 30mph street right as school was letting out and at a busy school crossing. Luckily, no children were involved, but the driver was removed on a stretcher. 4th flipped vehicle I’ve seen at this location. What’s it going to take?

Tim was the 13th traffic death on West Colfax since Jan 2019. This street works as designed, it moves drivers quickly in an environment with vulnerable people. How many more people die before we take action quickly?
