** CHRISTMAS 2023 APPEAL ** Our 2023 Christmas appeal is for SOCKS! Socks are warm, cheerful and soft and they make a good Christmas present in an environment where people do not have very much. We aim to collect 1,600 pairs of socks for Christmas - one pair for each prisoner.

Thanks are due in particular to Paul and Laura, as Churchwardens. They have both been wonderfully supportive as we’ve worked out plans for the next nine months and are well-placed to ensure the recruitment process works as smoothly as possible. With love and best wishes, Penny

I’ve loved my time with you but age is catching up, so I’m praying that my successor will bring a fresh vision that might energise the parish for the next season of ministry and mission.

I’m delighted that you will be in Revd George’s safe hands when I leave and am sure that the time is right for me and for All Saints.

It enables the parish to advertise in January with a view to interviewing and offering the post to someone before Easter, so that they might move to Fulham in the summer and start as Vicar in September 2024.

This is an unusual arrangement commended to us by the Archdeacon, Richard Frank, as a means of minimising the length of the interregnum.

In order to set the process for finding my successor in motion, I will step down as Vicar on 6th January next year, but will continue as Associate Vicar, living in the vicarage, until retiring no later than the beginning of July 2024.

After fifteen years at All Saints, it is with mixed feelings that I’ve decided the time to retire is imminent so I write to let you know about plans for this – which were announced at the PCC meeting last night.

Today we celebrate St Aidan, great northern saint and first bishop of Lindisfarne. On the invitation of St Oswald, king of Northumbria, he came from the island of Iona to share the Gospel of Christ. He died on this day in the year 651. ~ 📷Stained glass window in our Lady Chapel
