@Akshat_World We are spending, and yet struggling, in doing things that our taxes are supposed to do for us. Cleanliness, Health, Education, Justice, Pollution - aren't our taxes supposed to solve these for us? No, but we are middle class. Being a middle class is a criminal offence in India.

@Akshat_World Singapore doesn't have any LTCG Singapore has only 9% GST Singapore has only 11-15% Income Tax But still they provide world class infrastructure with neat and clean roads. Everything is so perfect because PM and Leaders are honestly working for their own Country.

@Akshat_World That has always been the case. If you are tax paying citizens then government will squeeze you till the last drop. If salaried individual loses job after 2-3 decades of income tax payment then they are on their own. Harsh reality of Indian tax system.

@Akshat_World Sometimes I wonder if we should privatize everything—roads, MCD, public transport, water supply, electricity, healthcare, even education. Just imagine, wouldn’t everything work so much better? Let’s just throw out the government and handle it all ourselves.

@Akshat_World If we look at pre and post GST tax rates on various items, it becomes evident that tax rates in the GST regime is less than what it used to be in the Pre GST regime. Most of the items are under lower GST slab. GST on car is lower than what it used to be during Pre GST era. So

@Akshat_World Tax on Cars is 50% GST if you wish to buy decent safe car of 10 Lacs .... Then 14% RTO on Total Ex SR , ie Tax on Tax, and then 130 140% Net Tax on Fuel. Then 2 Rs per Km Toll Tax on Highways.

@Akshat_World This issue will rise once more and more people start moving to metro cities. Hence government should incentivise private companies to setup offices in tier 2 and 3 cities so that people need not have to move to big cities.
