AI should be a huge opportunity for people with speech, access & communication diffs. I see so many posts for business benefits of ChatGPT etc. Almost none about benefiting these groups, no co-design. Is this yet another tech excluding already marginalised groups from the start?

Proud of our SLT student today @LibertyStellaH for having minced and moist meals all day to gain valuable patient insight, as part of #swallowawarenessday - what a way to spend her last day on placement!
βFantastic to experience #IDDSI Level 5. The minted lamb was flavoursome, not a fan of mushy peas but good to try π Loved the chocolate mousse, would have more if I could! Insightful to be fed.β @LibertyStellaH

I didnβt really understand #Aphasia Itβs not just an inability to speak properly. For me, being able to get words out was just the start. You just assume everything you want to say spills out of your mouth. English is now a 2nd language, everything I say is very deliberate

A rather belated retweet but do all our @StrokeImperial MDT know that our fabulous SLT @AkiSundareshSLT started her time in the stroke team as a rehab assistant? @drjkwan @didib77 @SomaBanerjee73 @JamilSohaa @luciodanna83
βI started as a rehabilitation assistant and then decided to specialise in speech and language therapy because I find it so fascinating. It's fulfilling to support people to regain their ability to communicate and swallow." - Akshya https://t.co/yLODSoWV3q

An absolute honour to meet @AmandaPritchard, the CEO of NHS England, to discuss my experiences as a speech and language therapist and why itβs such an appealing career within the NHS #WeAreTheNHS
This week I met with newly qualified nurses and AHPs at @ImperialNHS, and it was wonderful hearing about their experiences of the frontline, and their career aspirations. Iβd encourage anyone, no matter what your experience or qualifications, to consider joining us.

Please spare a RT for all the speech and language therapists across the NHS. They never get a mention from the media, but they continue to play a vital role in the fight against Covid.

To all the Covid deniers & misinformation spreaders a list. A list of people in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80. Heroes killed by #COVID19, doctors, many of #BAME heritage. Stop disrespecting their memories. Start thanking them for every life saved, hand held, relative comforted.
Remembering UK Doctors & Nurses who died in service on the frontline to the NHS @bmj_latest A chance to remember all those around the UK from Doctors, Nurses, students, porters, cleaners and all those who died whilst serving in the name of healthcare https://t.co/Tk6iUEhPin
