Shashi Tharoor, Pavan Varma and many others are proud HINDU authors now.
Shall I call myself a proud MUSLIM author?
I shouldn't.
My identity as a researcher and author will become meaningless if I begin to 'represent' Muslims' views!

No. Don't. Your instinct is correct.
If you wish to be proud of your accomplishments, it would be better you call yourself a Proud Human being. This station is indeed worthy of celebration.
@Ahmed1Hilal
Any view other than wahabi sunni ideas will not be representing as “ Muslim View” especially in background on recent developments in Afghanistan and its broad base support among Muslims in in Indian sub continent
@Ahmed1Hilal
Depends on who is the target. Shashi wrote 'Why I am a Hindu' to counter hardliner Hindus who are trying to hijack Hinduism & denounce him as an anti-Hindu. Your situation is different.
