Quantum computing (and stocks) have been so exciting to follow lately. Somehow, people underestimate the underlying market, but overestimate the current individual valuations.

Two years later: another attempt to use X. Time will tell if I finally make good use of it. I'm planning to (finally!) wrap up my project on decision theory, and to write pm some other stuff. Two years: this is what it took me to feel ok writing human content in an AI world.

I'm wondering how often Amazon users select the "2 stars or above" filter.

If you're like me and find it easier to read *code* than *math*, and you have access to @OpenAI GPT 4V (or use @bing or @google Bard), try pasting a image of an equation you wanna understand in there. It might just blow your mind. 1/🧵

I've been "invited" to give a talk to an AI and Data-Science conference. I only need to pay $599 to present... I knew about the "pay-to-get-published" model, but this pay-to-talk model is to me the next level of what needs to be avoided.

Just finished reading "Optionality" from @MeadowsRichard ; many of the concepts introduced by Richard are excellent real-world examples of 'Adaptability' in my Unpractical Decisions. Supported with a tastefully acerb Taleb-esque tone. https://t.co/E5vyKWsYGE (not self-help, btw)

OMG $NVDA I sold you during previous peak at $300 because you were overvalued, and now you're doing it again!

I counted (thanks `grep`): 'AI': 66 mentions 'Cloud': 38 mentions In 2022Q1, this was 7 and 23, respectively.

@paulg Well, here is a hint: the words "cloud" and "AI" were thrown every minute during the last earning call.

I feel like Slack has severely affected organizations' ability to conduct thorough, deep conversations. It's to the email what Twitter is to Wikipedia.

I'm now wondering who from the first-movers or fast-followers will rule that innovation battle, which hasn't started yesterday and isn't going to end any time soon.

The most outstanding achievement of ChatGPT is to get everyone talking about the power of AI. ML folks, engineers, product people, execs, my teams, my managers, my neighbors, my wife, my son (my cats are working on CatGPT). Everyone has become a prompt engineer and an LLM expert.

Similar to how people now shop for clothes more responsibly with sustainability and durability in mind, maybe companies should now evaluate each open role and add a line to the job description to inform the candidates about the chances of survival at different time horizons.

What's the role of luck in all this? And what is actually resulting from the decisions made throughout? Responsibility seems to be everywhere and nowhere. The fool is everybody and nobody.

If companies struggle because of economic reality, then is it fair to assert that companies thrive for a different reason?
