Texas House Democrats are back in Austin and will be on the floor when the House gavels in at noon today. For the first time in two weeks, the House will have a quorum and be able to conduct business. My colleague @AdamBennettKVUE will have full coverage from the Capitol today.

@Burrows4TX House Speaker @Burrows4TX also says several flood-related bills have been placed on Tuesday’s House calendar. He added: “The only thing standing between Texans and real disaster relief is whether our absent colleagues decide to show up tomorrow.” House adjourned until 10a Tues.

House Speaker @Burrows4TX says DPS special agents have deployed in every region of Texas & the House deputized dozens of officers to find Democrats who broke quorum. Burrows says they’ve set up outside members homes, are calling phones, knocking on doors + a tip line is set up.

Search and rescue operations continued this morning along Hamilton Creek east of Marble Falls. Burnet County Sheriff’s Office is planning a 2 p.m. press conference with an update on the ongoing response to this weekend’s flooding. @KVUE
