I wanted to understand what Alden Global Capital’s purchase of @sdut meant for San Diegans. My conclusion: This is the beginning of the end for the 155-year-old paper. https://t.co/Of4v3I7dHr

Under Alden, there's no plan for the future. There's just revenue extraction for as long as a generation of older newspaper subscribers live to keep paying their bills.

Their families won’t know what happened to them. They’ll be shackled, whisked away to another state, forced to subsist for days on potato chips, apples, water, and the occasional cold sandwich.

Taken: What happens after an LA immigration raid Masked men pull up quickly and approach Latino men. When someone runs, they’re taken. When they don’t answer a question, they’re taken. When they can’t produce papers, they’re taken.  W/@WendyFry_ @LAHepler @AnatRubin1 @add

Once again, a false narrative is and was being pushed out on the arrest of a U.S. citizen in Pico Rivera, CA. Don't take our word for it, check out @USAttyEssayli take on it. This subject just caught a federal case for assault on a federal agent. DON'T ASSAULT.

California boasts very strict rules around toxic waste disposal. So places like Tesla, Sally’s Beauty Supplies, the U.S. Navy and even California’s government instead ship it off to Mexico. Our new investigation on what happens once it gets there: https://t.co/Fp8AFaE7kR
