@77Blazers @trailblazers @WNBA Took me about a dozen years to get over firing Schonz. Finally realized Wheels was probably top 10 play by play guy (possibly all-time in basketball), just not even close to the level of Schonely. Loved Wheels, then they unceremoniously canned him. @77Blazers @trailblazers @WNBA Wheeler was good but firing Schonz was like firing vin scully or Harry Caray or chick Hearn. You just don’t do it. So of course the Allen regime did it. 🤦‍♂️
