suppressing freedom fails eventually. when agency is blocked, life routes around it—through new social systems and technologies. Bitcoin emerged as a reaction to the broken social contract of money. Nillion is laying the same groundwork for privacy.

Listened to a webinar on law & AI just now. It’s crazy how deeply “privacy by legal contract” is (still) embedded in the system and how little that seems to be shifting. Comments like (paraphrased) “Using OpenAI directly might be risky, but if you go through a third party with

A Figma sales rep was trying to get us to upgrade. We did a meeting but decided no, so he wrote this back (see photo). Excuse me, what? “I don’t like your answer so I went digging through your data to find info to help me make a sale”. I’m not okay with that.

in crypto don't ask FHE ppl where the decryption key is don't ask MPC ppl how big the cluster is and how strong the anti-collusion incentives are don't ask ZK ppl how to do anything other than prove don't ask TEE ppl what happens if they have physical access

There's no such thing as Fully-Homomorphic Decryption. Anytime you see a system using FHE to compute on your sensitive data, remember: someone has the key. If its not you, do you trust them?

TLDR; all of this newer AI stuff (AI web browsers, pendants, etc) are spyware unless they are designed as private-by-design from the ground up

🚨 The friend pendant is not your friend Someone reverse-engineered the device, exposing lack of basic security: - Anyone can connect via Bluetooth and hear the microphone's recordings - Friend's audio is unencrypted. - Audio can be accessed on non onboarded devices as well

privacy is the last remaining 1,000x in crypto we got adoption, we got scale, we got trading but we all slept on the core ideal of the cypherpunks, and we're gonna bring it back, while institutions are sidelined idgaf what coin you buy, just support privacy in all ecosystems

how do we put nilai into the hands of more devs? make it work with the tools they already use. with 3.69M downloads a week on npm, @aisdk is the de facto standard for building ai apps. I built a custom provider that plugs nilAI (privacy-preserving LLMs in TEEs) straight into

privacy is personal vote with your usage. if you think encrypted communication is important, get your friends on @signalapp. if you think private money is important, use @RAILGUN_Project & @Zcash if you want privacy to be more than a meta then use and value private solutions.
